Carl T. Bergstrom is a Professor of Biology at the University of Washington. At the forefront of interdisciplinary research focusing on the theme of information, his work spans biology, philosophy of science, sociology, and informatics, encompassing topics such as communication evolution, genomic encoding, research norms, and scholarly activity analysis.
Jevin D. West is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington's Information School. As the co-founder of the Center for an Informed Public, he studies the impact of data and technology on science and society, with a particular emphasis on combating the spread of misinformation.
